More Information:

In 1986, comic shop clerk Michael Correa was arrested and charged with selling obscene material. Publisher Dennis Kitchen spearheaded a unique project to raise money to help with Correa's legal expenses. This benefit portfolio led to the formation of the non-profit organization The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. This is a historic piece of original art that helped to change the comic industry by providing comic creators, publishers, and retailers facing prosecution with a resource for financial assistance.
