The Flame #3 (Fox, 1940) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. The first graded copy that we have ever offered just also happens to be the highest-graded copy, and it's just the fourth copy of #3 that we have ever seen! First appearance of Dr. Ivan and Taho. Dr. Fung and Tex Dawson appearances. Will Eisner story and art. Bob Powell and Charles Nicholas art. Overstreet 2015 FN 6.0 value = $261; VF 8.0 value = $553. CGC census 5/16: 1 in 7.0, none higher.
