Description

Detective Comics #168 (DC, 1951) CGC FN- 5.5 Off-white to white pages. The Joker has had many origin stories over the years -- he is an unreliable narrator, after all -- but perhaps the most consistent involves his early days as a costumed crook called the Red Hood, detailed here for the first time. Copies of this key book are tough to find, thanks to the cover's delicate black background. It is currently ranked as one of Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Overstreet 2024 FN 6.0 value = $12,900. CGC census 1/26: 8 in 5.5, 52 higher.
