The Wizard of Oz (TV Series) Dorothy, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and Tin Man Production Cels Sequence of 11 with Matching Animation Drawings and Layout Studio Print (DIC, 1990). "There's no place like Oz." The four heroes of Oz are on full display waving to camera in this wonderful sequence of 11 hand-painted cels. Dorothy returns to the Land of Oz to stop the Wicked Witch of the West in this direct sequel to the 1939 live-action film starring Judy Garland, which aired in the Fall of 1990 for 13 episodes. From the same sequence as they wave to the audience, the average combined image size of the four characters is 8" x 5" on 12 field cels. Rendered in graphite and colored pencil, the matching animation drawings share the same measurements on 12 field sheets of animation paper. Also included is a 12 field studio print that has drafted shading of the characters and notation in red colored pencil. The drawings range from Fair to Good condition with a few partially adhered to the cels. The cels and studio print are in Good to Very Good condition with light handling.Auction Info
