Juan Giménez Metabarons #1 Painted Story Page 8 Original Art (Les Humanoïdes Associés, 1992). In this flashback scene, the Castakan clan mines a giant block of marble against a backdrop of the majestic landscape of planet Marbola, skillfully rendered in Juan Gimenez's unique blend of classical and futuristic art styles. Gimenez and legendary auteur filmmaker and writer Alejandro Jodorowsky joined forces to enrich the mythology of the Metabarons, a legendary lineage of supreme warriors. The Metabarons were first introduced in Jodorowsky's seminal work in collaboration with Moebius, The Incal. Also included in the Signature Internet Session of this auction are the pencil and ink versions of this same page. Created in mixed media on paper with an image area of 9.25" x 12.75". The art says page 18, but is Story Page 8. In Excellent condition.
