Description

Ross Andru and Bill Everett Marvel Feature #1 Story Page 19 The Defenders Original Art (Marvel, 1971). The Defenders got their group's name for the very first time on this very page! This original incarnation of the grouping did not yet include the Silver Surfer, but the page features Doctor Strange, Namor the Sub-Mariner, and the Hulk. The page was crafted in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". There is production tape in the margins, and a bit on a text correction on the lower right. There are whiteout text/art corrections, a small smudge of production oil stain on the upper right side and the lower left. There is also a stain the bottom of Panel 7, and production tape residue in the margins. Overall, in Very Good condition.
