Zap Comix #1 (First Printing - Plymell) (Apex Novelties, 1967) CGC VF+ 8.5 Cream to off-white pages. The historic first major Underground comic book, featuring Robert Crumb stories, cover, and art. This attractive example features the dark blue of copies from late in Plymell's print run, which was reported to be 5,000, but was probably closer to 3,000 or less. Fogel's Underground Comix Price Guide FN 6.0 value = $4,800; NM 9.4 value = $8,000. CGC census 4/11: 4 in 8.5, 12 higher.
