Matt Groening Life In Hell Weekly Comic Strip Original Art (1985). Before The Simpsons... there was Life In Hell. The comic strip ran weekly in alternative newspapers across the nation from 1977 until 2012. This specific one features the one-eared rabbit Bongo, as well as the couple Akbar and Jeff, and Scarla (who bears a resemblance to Lisa Simpson). Created in ink with whiteout art/text corrections, the piece is signed and dated 9-7-1985 in the lower right of the matted 13" x 15.5" image area. Glass-front framed to 20.5" x 23".
