Bill Sienkiewicz The New Mutants #29 Magik and Cannonball Double Splash Pages 2-3 Original Art (Marvel, 1985). "The Prof's gonna love hearing about this!" The two most popular members of Marvel's original New Mutants lineup, Magik and Cannonball, blast through a wall at Westchester County Airport in their underwear, startling several weary travelers as they pursue their kidnapped teammates, Sunspot and Wolfsbane. Their state of undress, rather than standard uniforms, suggests they had no time to change or prepare for the sudden rescue mission! Rendered by the singularly talented and then-emerging artist Bill Sienkiewicz, the piece is executed in ink over graphite across two Bristol boards, adhered with tape on the reverse, with a combined image area of 21" x 15".
