Description

Bryan Hitch and Paul Neary Ultimates 2 #12 Double Splash Page 33-34 Original Art (Marvel, 2008). The entire Ultimate Universe is at stake in this massive spread by Bryan Hitch! Hitch's "widescreen" style art characterized 2000s superhero comics and this action-packed scene is the perfect example of it. The X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man team up as the reserve squad against an army of Liberators, with a host of featured heroes including: Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat), Wolverine, Colossus, Cyclops, Iceman, Mr. Fantastic, the Human Torch, Nighthawk, Jean Grey, Spider-Man, the Thing, Captain Britain, and Storm. Marvel's Ultimate line was a major influence on the newly budding MCU at the time, and this embodies the feeling of an epic superhero movie crossover. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an edge-to-edge image area of 22.25" x 17.75". Whiteout, small stains, light toning and handling wear. Signed in the upper right and in Excellent condition.
