Detective Comics #39 Larson Pedigree (DC, 1940) CGC FN+ 6.5 Off-white to white pages. Features Batman and the second appearance of Robin. Contains an opium story and the first appearance of Clayface on the last page of the Batman story, as well as a full-page ad for Batman #1. Art by Jack Lehti, Fred Guardineer, Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson. CGC notes, "Small amount of dried glue on spine of cover." Overstreet 2020 FN 6.0 value = $3,000; VF 8.0 value = $7,500.
