Kevin Eastman Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 Fourth Printing Wraparound Cover Original Art (Mirage, 1985). This historic fourth printing cover of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 marks our earliest offering of a TMNT cover -- and the first-ever cover appearance of the Shredder. All four Turtles -- Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, and Michelangelo -- are positioned in battle-ready poses atop a rooftop, weapons raised, encircled by the Foot Clan and facing off against their armored nemesis. Shredder's presence dominates the wraparound design, with only his bladed forearm teased on the front, and the full reveal waiting on the back. After the original indie print run of just 3,000 copies sold out instantly, Mirage quickly followed with additional printings. But it was this fourth printing, with its brand-new, full-color cover by Kevin Eastman, that signaled a major shift -- from underground sensation to pop culture juggernaut. Ink over graphite on art paper with an image area of 15" x 11.5". Light toning, minor discoloration in lower margin, light smudging, marginal ink marks, and minor handling wear.
