Description

John Byrne and Terry Austin The X-Men #127 Story Page 8 Original Art (Marvel, 1979). Extremely rare opportunity to get a great battle sequence from the heart of the Byrne/Austin X-Men run... and this is the first of two we are offering in this sale! Cyclops goes at the team after their traumatic encounter with Proteus, catching Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Storm by surprise and pushing them to their limits. This sequence provides an example of Cyclops' leadership and combat abilities, illustrating to any doubters just why he is the true leader of the X-Men! Fluid action and great visuals created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Toning, a trimmed top edge, blue pencil production marks, whiteout corrections, a page number paste-up at the bottom, with light staining, and handling wear. In Excellent condition. Be sure to check out the next page of the battle also featured in this Auction.
From the David Mandel Collection.
