Shock SuspenStories #9 Gaines File pedigree (EC, 1953) CGC NM/MT 9.8 White pages. Another stunning Edgar Church copy! This issue's horrifying cover by Al Feldstein, for the story "Carrion Death!," was memorably adapted for an episode of the Tales from the Crypt TV series. The content also includes an adaption of "The October Game" by Ray Bradbury, with a biography of the author. The interior art is by Jack Kamen, Joe Orlando, Reed Crandall and Wally Wood. Note that while CGC identifies this as a Gaines file copy, no certificate accompanies this lot. Overstreet 2014 NM- 9.2 value = $575.
