Description

Four Color #108 Donald Duck in the Terror of the River (Dell, 1946) CGC NM- 9.2 White pages. "The Terror of the River" is Carl Barks at his mid-1940s best, with a classic story guaranteed to give children goosebumps (hey, back then, only children were expected to be reading these things!), plus "The Firebug," a story so severe, Disney actually censored the ending by having another artist redraw the last two panels, and the final story "Seals Are So Smart." Huey, Dewey, and Louie are nicely featured in all three tales. Even though the current CGC census lists three copies currently graded higher, this one would certainly be hard to beat, especially with those all-important white inner pages. Overstreet 2013 NM- 9.2 value = $4,200. CGC census 11/13: 4 in 9.2, 3 higher.

CGC Grader Notes:
Bottom Staple Small Wear
Left Center Back Cover Small Tear
