Description
Superman #3 (DC, 1940) CGC VG+ 4.5 Cream to off-white pages. Before "faster than a speeding locomotive" and "leaps tall buildings in a single bound" were used for the 1950s television program, artist and co-creator Joe Shuster had Supes racing and leaping over a speeding locomotive on this early cover, saving his rendering of a tall building for another day. Stories from Action #5 and 6 were used in this issue. Overstreet 2010 VG 4.0 value = $2,300. CGC census 10/10: 5 in 4.5, 32 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
