Exciting Comics #1 (Nedor, 1940) CGC VF- 7.5 Cream to off-white pages. We see a copy of this Golden Oldie on average about once a year, but it's been nearly a decade since we offered a copy in as high a grade as this! Nedor Publications had only been in the funny book business a few months when this title debuted in 1940, beginning a run of over nine years. The early robot cover is by Max Plaisted. Other highlights of the issue include the first appearances of the Mask, Jim Hatfield, Make-Believe Mickey, and Sgt. Bill King. Nedor was obviously filling up some space before the Black Terror burst onto the scene in issue #9! Overstreet 2024 VF 8.0 value = $3,825. CGC census 4/25: 4 in 7.5, 3 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
