Crackajack Funnies #25 (Dell, 1940) CGC NM 9.4 Off-white to white pages. One of the great but forgotten superheroes of the Golden Age, the Owl makes his first appearance in this comic, along with ace reporter Gabby Scoops. Ellery Queen appears on the swinging cover, while Red Ryder, Wash Tubbs, and others fill the interior. Frank Thomas art. The highest-graded of just five copies that have been certified to date, with only two breaking the FN+ 6.5 barrier, and the next closest copy being a VF+ 8.5! Overstreet 2015 NM- 9.2 value = $1,175.
