Detective Comics #33 (DC, 1939) CGC VG+ 4.5 Off-white to white pages. In the storied run of DC's namesake title, this issue ranks #3 in value, and currently ranks #13 overall on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Books list. It's the fourth Batman cover, and has the Dark Knight sporting a gun holster, and features the superhero's origin. It's also rarely offered in higher grades. Bob Kane provided the cover and interior art, along with Sheldon Moldoff and Fred Guardineer. CGC notes, "3 very small pieces of tape on cover & 1 piece on interior cover." From the Pinnacle Hill Collection. Overstreet 2012 VG 4.0 value = $12,534. CGC census 11/12: 4 in 4.5, 10 higher.
