Description
Detective Comics #29 (DC, 1939) CGC GD 2.0 Brittle pages. Batman's second-ever cover appearance, and his third appearance overall! This gothic mad scientist cover was only the second to feature Batman. Dr. Death makes his first appearance in this first installment of a two-part story, one of the Dark Knight's earliest adventures. Cover and story art are by Bob Kane. It is currently #14 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Please note: as you can see on our image, some small pieces have flaked off and are loose in the CGC holder. The comic is certified with brittle pages, so it is possible more pieces could separate between now and when the winning bidder receives the item. Overstreet 2024 GD 2.0 value = $28,700.
