The Avengers #4 (Marvel, 1964) CGC NM+ 9.6 Cream to off-white pages. A great copy of a classic reborn! What goes around comes around, at least when the subject is Captain America. Jack Kirby co-created the iconic Golden Age superhero in 1941, but by 1954 his popularity had waned, and his eponymous title was discontinued. He returned with a vengeance exactly 23 years after his first appearance, with Kirby again providing the cover and story art. Cap joins the Avengers in this Marvel Age key wherein the slew of co-stars includes Sub-Mariner, Iron Man, Thor, Giant-Man, and the Wasp. The issue currently is tied at #44 on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics list and could move up a notch or two on the updated list. Overstreet 2020 NM- 9.2 value = $8,500.
