Description

Action Comics #9 (DC, 1939) CGC GD+ 2.5 Off-white to white pages. This early issue of the title features the second front-cover mention of Superman and a non-Superman cover by Fred Guardineer. While the number on the label may not wow you, most copies we have handled have been in a lower grade than this or restored, or both! The story art is by Guardineer, Joe Shuster, and Bernard Baily. It is currently one of Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics. CGC notes, "Tape on interior cover." Overstreet 2024 GD 2.0 value = $3,400. CGC census 1/26: 6 in 2.5, 10 higher.
