Description
Action Comics #12 (DC, 1939) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Off-white to white pages. A rare book even in moderate grades, so much so that we've seen only four in grades above VG- 3.5, of which two were unrestored copies. It features a very early Superman appearance -- so early that he's relegated to an inset on a cover dominated by the super-magician Zatara. It also contains a one-panel ad for the game-changing Detective Comics #27. The cover is by Fred Guardineer, with story art by Guardineer, Joe Shuster, Bernard Baily, and Bill Ely. Currently on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Overstreet 2024 GD 2.0 value = $4,050; VG 4.0 value = $8,100. CGC census 11/24: 3 in 3.0, 14 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
