John Byrne and Joe Rubinstein Captain America #254 Splash Page 1 Original Art (Marvel, 1981). An entranced Cap is about to join the legion of the undead as Baron Blood moves in to sink his vampire fangs into the fount of Super-Soldier serum-infused plasma. John Byrne "kills it" with a full shot of the Star-Spangled Avenger seen at an angled upshot which intensifies the drama of the unbelievable scene playing out in the home of the Falsworths. A true Byrne showstopper created in ink and screentone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight toning, stat header and indicia paste-ups, trimmed corners, blue pencil editorial marks and whiteout corrections, with some staining and smudging/handling wear.
