Description

Pinocchio Stromboli Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). "Sure! I will push you in the public's eye. Your face, she will be on everybody's tongue." Stromboli assures Pinocchio, cradling the boy's face in his hands. This fantastic animation drawing is from the 1940 Disney classic Pinocchio. Stromboli is one of the five antagonists of the film and can be seen as the evil counterpart to Geppetto. This animation drawing is rendered in graphite with color pencil and can be found at roughly the 41:30 mark in the film. Stromboli holds his hands up and cradles the puppet, assuring him that he will make him a star. The villain was animated by Bill Tytla (1904 - 1968), who was part of other notable productions like Fantasia and Dumbo. The drawing measures roughly 7'' x 6.25'' and is labeled C115. There is a studio stamp labeling it as production 2003, sequence 4.4, and scene 8. The drawing is displayed in an 11'' x 9.5'' mat window and 20'' x 18'' Plexiglas frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. Light age-related toning with minor handling wear and light smudges. Very Good condition overall.
