Description

Pinocchio Pinocchio with an Apple Model Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). "Now turn around and let me take a look at you." Geppetto tells Pinocchio to do this for him before he leaves for his first day of school. The boy does so with a smile and spreads his arms for his father, on display in this beautiful graphite and color pencil 12 field 5-peghole model drawing. Pinocchio set high standards for Disney after the groundbreaking Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with new innovative and ambitious animation techniques. You can find these techniques used throughout the movie, but you can see them even in small moments like this. You can find the rendered image of Pinocchio at about 28:15. The centered, full figure measures roughly 3.75'' x 5''. The page has minor age-related toning. There are faint smudges with light edge and handling wear. Very Good condition.
