Description

Mickey's Steam Roller Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Morty, and Ferdie Layout Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). Released on 6/16/1934, this hilarious short sent Mickey and Minnie on a wild ride as they tried to stop Mickey's nephews from destroying the town with an out of control steam roller. The short was Morty and Ferdie's first film appearance with Minnie playing the role of their nanny, dressed up in an apron and bonnet. This sweet 12 field 2-peghole layout drawing features all four characters with Minnie and Mickey full figure, eyeing the boys like they're about to get into more trouble. The layout doesn't appear in the final short but does give us a look at another scene that could have been. The group measures about 9.75'' x 5'' combined and are rendered in graphite with a color pencil border marking where the camera would be. There are also two small graphite doodles near the bottom edge with the page noted 56 in the lower right corner. Mickey's nephews appear in very few shorts, so if you've been looking to add them to your collection this is the time! Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear, faint debris, and minor age-related toning.
