Description

Who Framed Roger Rabbit Baby Herman Animation Drawings by Dino Athanassiou Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney/Amblin, 1988). "I've been tryin' to make him quit, but he just won't listen to me." Taking a drag off his cigar, presented here is a comical sequence featuring Brooklyn bad boy Baby Herman from the 1988 multi-studio collaborative film Who Framed Roger Rabbit by the skilled hand of Dino Athanassiou. Known for his incredible work in animation, storyboarding, direction, and design, Athanassiou's contributions to Roger Rabbit were some of the earliest in his world-class career. This sequence of Baby Herman can be spotted beginning near the 34:24 timestamp as his nursemaid graciously lights the stogie while they wait for Eddie to return to his office. Rendered in blue pencil to half-figured closeups neatly centered on the 16 field animation sheets, the sly tot ranged in size from approximately 5.75" x 6.25" to 6.25" x 6" across the Key drawings which are numbered 41, 45, and 49 in the lower right corners. Each sheet is titled, includes copyright information, and bears Athanassiou's signature near the lower edges in ink over colored pencil. A CoA is included for each drawing (3 total), as well as additional sheets of Athanassiou's hand-written notes. With minimal handling and edge wear including peghole reinforcement, overall this rebellious baby is in Very Good condition.
