Description

SpongeBob SquarePants "Texas" SpongeBob Production Cel (Nickelodeon, 2000). "Ok, Patrick, that's enough." Becoming concerned that they may have pushed Sandy a little too far with their good-natured teasing, SpongeBob warns Patrick to quiet down in this original production cel from the Season 1 segment "Texas" of his titular Nicktoon. SpongeBob SquarePants was one of the last Nicktoons to premiere in the 1990s, and the only one of the decade still airing with season 15 currently in production. Of those seasons, however, only Season 1 was traditionally cel animated. "Texas" aired as the first segment of episode 18 in March of 2000, and followed SpongeBob's attempts to cheer up his homesick friend and convince her not to leave Bikini Bottom for her Lone Star home state. This frame can be spotted near 8:08 mark of the segment when viewed online. SpongeBob is featured fantastically centered and full-figured with an impressive hand-painted and partially hand-inked character size of 3" x 4.5". The 12 field cel bears a sequence number in the lower right and has been placed on a print background for display purposes; a CoA is also included. With typical studio handling and wear including minor surface wear/debris, minor linework wear with areas of restoration, and faint color bleed paint wear to SpongeBob's shirt and eyes, overall this cautionary cel is in Very Good condition.
