Description
The Simpsons "Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder" Homer Simpson and Otto Mann with Mole People Production Cel (Fox, 1999). "Mole People!" Otto's bungy jump descends far below ground thanks to Homer's added weight in this original production cel from The Simpsons' Season 11 episode "Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder". Airing on November 14, 1999, this season's sixth episode saw Homer hastily experience the incredible highs and lows of becoming an overnight celebrity who's then quickly relegated to "yesterday's news". Feeling like he has nothing left to live for, Homer tries jumping from a skyscraper but manages to save himself by clinging to bungy jumping Otto with the pair beginning their subterrain descent near the 15:37 mark, passing Morlocks and Chuds before reaching the Mole People (though the brief scene with only Mole People featured here seems to have been cut from the final screen version). Homer and Otto share a 2" character height with an addition 1.5" length of bungy cord, while the Mole People range from 1" to 2.25" tall with all ten characters hand-painted to full-figure. The 12 field multilayer cel is paired with a print background of the underground caves for display purposes and bears a gold Fox seal in the lower left with an included CoA. The piece is framed under Plexiglas to an overall size of 20.75" x 18.25" with an aperture of 11.5" x 9". All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition.
