Black Mask #13 April 1921 (Pro-Distribution) CGC VG- 3.5 Off-white pages. Bookery's notes issue from this era as "especially scarce" and we think that's an understatement. Prior to this Auction, we had only encountered a single Black Mask from 1921, an Apparent GD from the following month. A complete well-presenting copy without trimming or restoration is even rarer. Bookery's Guide to Pulps Second Edition 2020 VG 4.0 value = $200. CGC census 10/25: 1 in 3.5, none higher. NOTE: The newly released Bookery's Guide to Pulps: Revised Third Edition 2025 VG 4.0 value for this issue is $500.From the Dr. Richard Meli Collection.
