George Pérez and Dick Giordano Swordquest #2 Fireworld Wraparound Cover Original Art (DC, 1982). The front cover portion features an image of the main characters Tarra and Torr adorned with weapons and armor they would find in this issue. The back cover portion of the wraparound features the original warriors who wore and used those magical items.Originally intended to be a four-issue mini-series, each issue would be a pack-in give-away comic packaged with the matching Atari game cartridge in the four-part Swordquest game series.
The image of Tarra and Torr on the front cover is a paste-up stat over a rocky landscape by Pérez and Giordano. The landscape continues to the back cover portion with is 100% original art. Created in ink over graphite (with a paste-up stat) on two separate sheets of Bristol board with a combined image area of 21.25" x 15". In Excellent condition.
A portion of the proceeds from this auction will benefit The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) and the Hero Initiative.
