Description

Jack Sparling Turok, Son of Stone #129 Two Complete Stories Original Art Group of 22 (Western/Whitman, 1982). Turok and Andar cross paths with Sendu, a caveman who claims to know a way out of the Lost Valley in "The Unwanted One", then find heroics come with strings attached in "A Child Named Rana", when a grateful father insists they stay and entertain his spoiled daughter after they rescue her. These are two complete late-run Turok tales, written by Paul S. Newman and illustrated by Jack Sparling, packed with plenty of "honkers" along the way, including pteranodons and a stegosaur. Ink over graphite on Bristol boards with average image areas of 10.25" x 14.75". Signed by writer Paul S. Newman in the top margin of Page 1 of each story. Light toning, stat logo, title, and credit paste-ups with some discoloration, first two panels of Page 1 from "The Unwanted One" are stat paste-ups, adhesive residue staining, whiteout corrections, editorial and production notes/marks, smudging/soiling, and handling wear. Overall, in Very Good condition.
