Description
Dick Ayers and Rich Buckler The Mighty Crusaders #8 The Shield Story Pages Original Art and Stat Letter Pages Group of 4 (Archie, 1984). Included are two story pages, one of which is in the format of the faux-LIFE magazine article that began this story. The last page gets a bit metafictional as Joe Higgins (the Shield) discusses Marty Greim as the writer of the LIFE magazine article. Marty Greim was the writer for this entire four-page story! Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with stat paste-up text and hand-lettering on Page 4. Also included are the two stat pages of "Crusader Comments" which are accompanied by stat paste-ups of some character art by Carl Taylor and Sam de la Rosa.
