Description

Alfred Andriola Charlie Chan Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-18-39 (McNaught Syndicate, 1939). Charlie Chan notices Kirk's "progress", calling upon his skills as a sleuth in this daily, while also appearing simultaneously in a series of hit movies. The end of the strip came shortly after the final Chan movie in 1942 -- whereupon Andriola began developing Kerry Drake for a 1943 premiere. Ink and blue wash over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 20" x 5", matted to 24" x 7.5". Toning, board pieces taped on the edges, vertical crease through the center, with light handling wear. In Very Good condition.
