Biohazard 2 - Wata 9.8 A++ Sealed, PS1 Capcom 1998 JPN. This virtually untouched copy of Biohazard 2 captures the moment when horror games hit their stride. Known to Western audiences as Resident Evil 2, it took everything the original accomplished and made it bigger, stranger, and more intense. Players stepped into the shoes of Leon S. Kennedy, a rookie cop on his first day, and Claire Redfield, searching for her missing brother, as both tried to survive the chaos consuming Raccoon City. The game's twin, overlapping campaigns were a first for the series, letting choices in one scenario subtly influence the other. It also brought a new level of cinematic direction and atmospheric realism to console gaming, turning each pre-rendered room into a claustrophobic stage of dread. Every echo, every flicker of movement, every moment of silence tightened the tension. Today, it's still widely recognized as one of the best games in the series.
