Description
Steeplechase - CGC 8.5 Glue Seal [Tele-Games], 2600 Sears 1980 USA. This is only the second time we've had the privilege of offering Steeplechase, and it's by far the highest-graded example of the two. The box has some wear on and around the corners, but it displays well. This title is particularly rare, as it was one of only three Sears exclusives released for the Atari 2600 (alongside Stellar Track and Submarine Commander), published under the Tele-Games label. Programmed by Jim Huether and designed for use with Atari's paddle controllers, Steeplechase brought the excitement of horse racing to digital life. It is based on Atari's 1975 arcade game of the same name. The slab says 1981, but this game came out in 1980.William Selander Collection
