Pokémon German Unlimited Base Set Color Proof Uncut Sheet (Wizards of the Coast, 2000). Form #6. Pokémon was first introduced in Japan in the mid-1990s and quickly became a global phenomenon! Wizards of the Coast (WOTC), which was already distributing an already highly popular card game known as Magic: The Gathering, was able to get the licensing to distribute the Pokémon Trading Card Game internationally in 1999. The original set, known as the Base Set, included a total of 102 cards, with the first 16 cards being holographic. It included artwork from famed artists like Ken Sugimori and Mitsuhiro Arita, just to name a few. The German color proof uncut sheet offered here is from the Unlimited Base Set release. A total of 121 rare cards are on the sheet laid out in 11 rows, with 11 cards per row. The sheet measures 28.5" x 39.5". "Wizards Color Proof German Base Set -Form #6- Booster Pack Old" is handwritten in marker on the left-hand border. There is minimal handling wear for an overall Excellent condition.
