Black Mask #47 August 1, 1923 (Pro-Distribution) CGC GD/VG 3.0 Off-white pages. One of many early Black Mask issues we've never before encountered; prior to this auction, we've only encountered one issue from 1923, and only three earlier issues total. Naturally, this is the sole CGC copy. Bookery's notes "early issues 1920-1925 [as] especially scarce." Bookery's Guide to Pulps Second Edition GD value = $65; VG value = $200. CGC census 7/24: 1 in 3.0, none higher.
