Group Lot of 5 Unopened Handheld Electronic Sports Games - Condition Average: NM, Coleco, Mattel (1977-1979) USA. Here's one for the ages: five UNOPENED games from the golden age of electronic handhelds: Mattel Football (the first, Mattel Baseball, Electronic Quarterback, Coleco Head to Head Electronic Football, and Coleco Head to Head Electronic Basketball. Each of these LED-screen units is in exceptional condition, with very little visible wear and beautifully preserved in an acrylic case. Mattel Football has a "RECONDITIONED GAME" sticker on the front, but the reconditioning was done at the manufacturer, and the box remains unopened. These were produced a decade and more before the Game Boy (1989), and a couple even predate the Microvision (1979), making this a truly historic occasion. These are among the first portable games of their type ever produced. We have no doubt that sports fans, handheld collectors, and video game enthusiasts will be in serious competition for this lot.Auction Info
