Description

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Dopey Production Cel and Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1937). Dopey gets a kiss on the forehead from Snow White as he leaves for work with his fellow dwarfs in this original production cel from Disney's first animated feature. Dopey is by far one of the most lovable and popular of the dwarfs and this full-figure image measures an impressive 4" x 4". The hand-inked, hand-painted character has been carefully trimmed from its original nitrate cel and applied to a 12 field acetate cel which is over a custom hand-painted background. In the background a shadow of Snow White has been cleverly added to complete the scene. It's an adorable composition from the very first animated feature ever made. Art is framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 10" x 9" in a 20" x 19" frame. The piece shows minor handling and the cel has likely been professionally restored. Condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.
