Appointed Sergeant Major at Fort Apache after the Civil War, Mac Coy operates in the middle of Indian territory, and has been taken prisoner by his own scout. A delightful piece. The fine linework of Palacios really brings life to the frightened eyes of our protagonist. Ink on two conjoined pieces of Bristol board with an image area of 11.75" x 16". Lightly toned, signed, and matted. A rare piece! In Excellent condition.

Ici fait prisonnier par son éclaireur dans cette planche absolument délicieuse , où l'art de Palacios est rare et juste sublime. La finesse du trait donne vraiment vie aux yeux emplis de frayeur de Mac Coy. Encre de Chine sur Bristol board composé en deux parties avec une superficie d'image de 30 x 41 cm. Légèrement jaunie. Signée. RARE ! En Excellente condition.
