Chris Bachalo Hunter, the Age of Magic #19 Cover Preliminary Original Art Group of 2 (DC/Vertigo, 2003). Chris Bachalo built his fanbase while working on Neil Gaiman's Sandman and Death: The High Cost of Living. Here, he takes on another of Gaiman's creations -- Timothy Hunter from The Books of Magic. This poetic preliminary cover, with subtle Art Deco overtones, is rendered in ink over graphite on DC/Vertigo Bristol board with an image area of 6.5" x 10.25". It is accompanied by an ink sketch, also on DC/Vertigo Bristol board, with an image area of 7" x 10.5". Light handling wear. Signed and dated. In Excellent condition.
