Will Eisner Will Eisner's Quarterly #6 and Will Eisner Reader Cover Original Art (Kitchen Sink, 1985). The elderly man observing a young boy building sand castles at the beach serves as a metaphor for life inspired by Eisner's own advancing age. This melancholy piece was used as a cover image on two different publications. The art is rendered in ink and watercolor on illustration board with an overall size of 10.75" x 13.5", and it was signed and dated at the lower right.
