Description

Akira Crumbling Advertisement Animation Drawing (Tokyo Movie Shinsha, 1988). At approximately the 10:16 mark of the iconic anime movie Akira, we are presented with this astounding image of an advertisement structure for the fictional beer brand La Meer falling apart after Takashi's mental breakdown from watching a member of the resistance killed. Contributing to give us a sense of the substantial telekinetic abilities of Takashi, this phenomenal animation drawing reminds us of the gigantic scale of the destruction taking place during the events of the groundbreaking animated film. The drawing is created in graphite with colored pencil shading and details on a 13.75" x 9.25" animation sheet, numbered B-8, in the top right corner. Presenting light handling and edge wear from production with minor paint residue on the bottom left edge, the lot's condition is Very Good.
