Kid Komics #6 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (Timely, 1944) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white pages. We think this one might have had a shot at being the highest-graded copy if not for a tiny (1/16-inch) tear on the back cover. Still, the front cover looks fantastic, and with the highest-graded specimen to date just a half-grade higher at 9.0, this is one of the best copies we've seen. Alex Schomburg's cover features the Young Allies; the Destroyer appears in a backup feature. Overstreet 2006 VF 8.0 value = $600; VF/NM 9.0 value = $950. CGC census 7/06: 2 in 8.5, 1 higher.
