Description
Rock Odyssey "Lady in Red" Production Cel Signed by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera (Hanna-Barbera, 1987). Here's a gorgeous hand-painted production cel signed by studio heads, Bill Hanna (1910 - 2001) and Joe Barbera (1911 - 2006). It's a superb production cel featuring Laura from Hanna-Barbera's never-released feature film, Rock Odyssey. It was intended as a prime-time TV special for ABC, and was mentioned in a fall 1981 H-B trade ad as being slated to air in the spring of 1982, but the project was shelved after executives at H-B and corporate parent Taft Entertainment saw the film's graphic imagery, particularly relating to the 1960s and the Vietnam War. The cel contains an H-B seal of authenticity in the lower right, matted to 14" x 18" with a matboard aperture of 11.5" x 8.5". Condition is Very Good.Auction Info
