Gil Kane Star Hawks Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 10-7-77 (NEA, Inc., 1977). A frantic chase ignites on Esmeralda as slavers close in and Star Hawks intervene with sharp urgency. Thanks to a unique agreement with NEA, Gil Kane was allowed to use a rare double tier layout, riding the wave of Star Wars mania in 1977 as Ron Goulart and Kane launched the cult classic cosmic adventure that ran until 1981. Ink and marker over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 16" x 10". Blue pencil editorial marks, whiteout text correction, and and light handling wear.
