Description

Art Huhta Wild Rose Sunday Comic Strip Original Art Group of 3 (Chicago Tribune, 1947). Three Sundays worth of Huhta's Wild Rose, a strip created in the same vein as Li'l Abner, Long Sam, and other "hillbilly" comics that featured beautiful Southern belles. The dates (all from 1947) are 2-23, 3-2, and 3-9. The strips were produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 21" x 9.5". Slight toning, trimmed edges, art paste-up correction on the 2-23 strip, symbol paste-ups in some of the word balloons, with smudging and edge/handling wear. Overall in Very Good condition.
