Description

The Big Bad Wolf and The Practical Pig The Big Bad Wolf, Fifer Pig, and Fiddler Pig Pair of Animation Drawings (Walt Disney, 1934/1939). Featured in this lot is a 12 field 2-peghole animation drawing of the iconic villain the Big Bad Wolf from the first sequel to the 1933 Silly Symphony Three Little Pigs and a 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing of Fifer Pig and Fiddler Pig from the third sequel The Practical Pig. The first drawing can be found at about 3:53 as Fifer and Fiddler stare in horror at the Big Bad Wolf, now disguised as Goldilocks the Fairy Queen. The second drawing, featuring the Big Bad Wolf disguised as a mail man, can be found at roughly 4:34 as he prepares to capture Practical Pig. Both full figure drawings are rendered in graphite with color pencil and include small notes. They measure about 3.5'' x 3.25'' (Fifer and Fiddler) and 6.5'' x 5.5'' (Big Bad Wolf). The drawings are noted as 57 and 17 in the lower right with a note on the arcs of Fifer and Fiddler's drawing. Good to Very Good condition overall with light age-related toning, minor edge and handling wear, and faint superficial wrinkles.
